Email Tracking And News Posting Tracking Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words
Email Tracking And News Posting Tracking - Essay Example They receive messages and forward them to the intermediate systems that indicate the path between the receiver and the sender. Systems facilitate this activity to determine the actual sender of information, however, it ca n be challenging if the founder of messages covers the suspicious emails and news postings. Email tracking involves screening email delivery to the addressee. It enables the sender to know if the intended recipient received the message, but does not show if the email was opened and read (Pappallardo & Ellen 2005). Outlook, Notes, and Eudora are networked software that enable clients interact with the server. Microsoft office outlook develops a read receipt tracking method, which makes the sender access the receipt request option before sending the email. After sending the message, recipients can also bring to the attention of the sender that the email was received and read. Nevertheless, such email applications do not guarantee the sender receipt request. On then ha nd, news postings indicate on the top of the message significant tracks that show the subject header, the sender, date, and dime sent. With such vital information, tracking of group news becomes easier compared to emails. Postings are public and can be accessed by a significant number of people. Emails are private and more personal than news postings since they are addressed to a specific person or group. News postings audience who visit social networking sites such as face book and twitter. News postings are bulletins for everyone in the network to see. They are useful because they inform friends in the network service without resorting to sending messages individually. However, tracking news becomes challenging since posts are deleted affected ten days while emails are stored in the server for future reading and reference. Therefore, tracking of emails have been shown to be easier than postings. When conducting email tracking, one can use the IP address that the user assigned, whi ch will show the time and date the message was sent (US-CERT 2003). Lastly, in email tracking, one can investigate on behalf of the victim, by sending the original message through copy mailing. At this point, one can send the message as an attachment because for warding replaces the suspectââ¬â¢s information. News postings have group link features that enable the use to sign up until the time when her network shall be back. In networking systems, new postings prove to be the perfect destination for everyone to stay connected. Question 2- IRC crimes The growth of technology has been identified with positive and negative effects. The world has witnessed the abuse of this new system making the society acquire a negative attitude. Child pornography is an ex ample of internet related crime because nude figures are exposed on websites, and when children come across them, they become misguided. Scenes of teenagers involving on sexual acts are posted on the internet. This technology can be accessed by anyone regardless of their age. Such websites have chat conversations, which lure children in to immoral conversations that lead to child abuse. Secondly, carding and phishing describe how fraudsters operate in small and secret channels. They code their messages to prevent people who may come across, and discover their network. Therefore, to track carding and phishing, one should have a peculiar access to IRC network servers. Internet related crime is overlooked when computer crimes come in to discussions. It is seen as a less dangerous compared to other types of crimes. Crimes committed on computers become challenging to track because the society lack s information on this issue. Chat rooms have been made to facilitate chatting and communicating globally (Smith 2004).

Paraphrasing 2 Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
Paraphrasing 2 - Essay Example A leak was identified and endeavors to correct the defect by striking the fitting with a large wrench triggered the gas to ignite, which turned the tank car into a blowtorch. Processes that are linked to BLEVE include heat transfer (from flame to tank, between liquids and vapor phases, and from tank walls to the liquid and vapor stages, thermodynamic changes within the tank linked with pressure buildup, tank failure, material property degradation, and activation of pressure relief valve. Thus, issues with a missing relief valve, poor maintenance, inaccurate instruments, and inoperative or bypassed safety devices are linked with BLEVEs (Laboureur et al., 2013). Most cases of BLEVEs are conveyed by fragmentation, blast effects, and fireball radiation. A BLEVE leads to spontaneous, vigorous liquid boiling and the production of a shock wave. This is a type of explosion that occurs in a vessel under rapid heating process containing a high degree of pressurized liquid, for example, liquefied petroleum gas that has failed catastrophically. This substance (e.g. propane) is stored under pressure and contains a boiling point below ambient temperature range. In the case where the liquid contains a temperature above ambient boiling points, but it is heated before it is emitted by an external heat source to a temperature exceeding its boiling point can result to a BLEVE. This means that when the vessel fails, the internal pressure drops drastically to atmospheric and the hot liquid rapidly boils releasing a lot of vapors. This damage is as a result, of a pressure wave from the rapid expansion of the emitted vapor and flying fragments of the vessel and piping; if the material is combustible a hazard takes place. The hazard brought about by a BLEVE of a container containing flammable liquid is a fireball, a major fire, and the production of a powerful radiant heat flux. Moreover, BLEVE can be employed to refer to any sudden loss of containment of liquid more than its normal

Meaning of Life Essay Example for Free
Meaning of Life Essay We ask ourselves everyday if our life has meaning. We view our lives and others lives in different ways. I agree with life being viewed as a game, and life as learning is adding meaning to our life. I disagree with life having no meaning at all. Every human being views life differently and believes your life is influenced by different ideas and lessons. Life as a game creates a theory that we cant just take our lives too seriously or else we wont be happy and feel as if we have fulfilled our lives and/or our purpose on earth. In our textbook it says if you believe your life is a game, you must pick the type of game you wish to play in your life. You can play games that are purely for fun, for superiority, social, hurting your opponents, or to help others. If you pick to have your game of life to be played just for fun then this could possibly be the happiest way to play your game of life. When being able to play a game for fun it excludes the worry of being judged and having to conquer other opponents to become the winner in your game of life. Your opponents could be your friends, family, co-workers, peers, mentors throughout your life and this could make you a miserable person if they turn their backs on you, or fight against your game of life. If we pick to play our life in a game to hurt our opponents then do we decide who our opponent is? Our opponents could be people in our lives who we do not like. They could become our friends and family and if we disagree, then do they become an opponent to us because we dont see eye to eye? There are so many different ways you could pick to play your game of life. And only you can pick your game, but others around us do influence our choice of what we choose for a game. We dont want to pick a game to which we are setting ourselves up to become targeted as a loser. We all want to be the winner. I believe in our game of life we should be able to choose if we are going to be the winner in our game of life and who the losers will be. Or should everyone be a winner? Some games in particular could cause chaos in our lives. If we choose to play our life as a competitive game then this could end up giving us enemies, and then what is life really about when you have people against you. In a competitive game it is hard to see the ending outcome of the game, so it is always a gamble to what your life or even the next day might bring. When you dont know what the next day will bring, does the rules in your game of life change? It is possible when playing a game, the rules will change and new ones can be created and taken away. As little kids playing games, when they dont like a rule, or merely forget a rule, this changes the game. And these changes affect the outcome of your ending result. Unfortunately I think the rules of your game can change because you learn new things and new technology comes out every day. Life as learning is something we all are introduced to throughout our lives. But do we pay attention to the things life is trying to teach us? Our textbook refers to having a bad experience and turning it into a situation we can learn from. I think we take all situations we are put into and get some kind of lesson or moral meaning out of it. If you view life in different ways then it could change how you react to your life lessons and the idea you should get out of the story. I believe we should all try everything once if it is presented to us and it is morally right. If you cant live your life to the fullest, then are you actually learning everything you can from your life? Do we encounter things in our life because we should learn from them? Is life supposed to have flaws so we can become a better person and make ourselves better prepared for the next time the problem arises? We can ask ourselves all theses questions and if we listen to the ending result and want to understand then we will take something out of the issue as a life learning situation. But can we shut the ideas and ending decisions out, and ignore the life lesson? I think that each and every event that happens in our life was presented to us to teach us a new life lesson and prepare us better for the next time if it comes up in our life again. These life lessons can hurt us but if life was perfect all the time, then when faced with a flaw in our life we wouldnt know how to respond and cope with the problem. Some people in life cant face their flaws of life and walk away or give up. People might do this because they cant deal with the pain and suffering they believe they are being faced with. With the two philosophies above I do agree that our life is a game, and life is learning. We pick what we want to believe and understand. And in our life we play a game where we can pick the winners and losers. We believe that we make the ending decision in our life and pick what our life stories and experiences actually mean. When we are surprised with conflict and a sudden problem, we might not be able to control our life until we can understand what is going on. And if we take time to understand, then arent we still controlling our life? We could always walk away and ignore the new problem. The idea I disagree with the most is life has no meaning at all. Albert Camus said in his book The Myth of Sisyphus that the absurd had become a widespread sensibility in our times. He also relates life having no meaning at all to atheism. If there is no external meaning, then he believes there is no point in life. If life had no meaning then wouldnt we careless about our future and live for that moment. If life has no meaning then would we be in school trying to receive a quality education? Albert Camus believes that most humans are frightened by the idea of living on earth with no purpose to life. And this allows humans to create a purpose to live. In our textbook it states a quote from his book, The gods had condemned Sisyphus to ceaselessly rolling a rock to the top of a mountain, whence the stone would fall back of it own weight. They had thought with some reason that there is no more dreadful punishment than futile and hopeless labor. This to me means that when you are asked to conquer something that is impossible for you to accomplish, then it is the worse thing that would happen in your life. This makes you feel like you have failed at what god has asked you to do. I believe we all have a meaningful life. Each and every one of us affects someone in the world, either if its a positive way or sometimes in a negative way. We wont always realize our affect on others unless it is pointed out to us. As we discussed in class, a drug addict might share his story, and affect children and teenagers and show them the life they lived and how they are now. I think as a teacher you add meaning to your life by teaching others about a variety of topics in life and history. The question does life have a meaning is worth answering. Each and every one of us has our own opinion of life and if it has meaning. We truly cant look up the definition in the dictionary and believe that is what life is. We need to look at our personal situations, as well as experiences to see how it molds our view of what life means. The definition of life from The American College Dictionary states a corresponding state, existence, or principle of existence conceived as belonging to the soul. This to me means that as long as we have a presence on earth they have life on earth. This definition isnt the only one about life; we create our own meaning which is molded to our life. If life is just about existence, then life may have no meaning. We are here on earth to impact people in same way and form. If we are here just for existence then we arent living life. In reality I think life can be looked at in many different ways and there is not just one definition. Is their just one definition and would this change the way we live our lives? Would we be different people than who we are today? Life is a special thing, and we can view our life in different perspectives. As mentioned in my paper we can view life as a game, as learning, and life can have no meaning at all. I dont agree with all the ways we can view our life, but each and every one of us can pick our own way to view life. For me I agree with the fact that life is a game. We pick if we want to play a game for fun, or to be the king of the world. The way we decide to play our life game determines who we are as a person and it helps affect the mood we are in. I also believe life as learning. In life we are given many different life lessons. And what we take from these life lessons is teaching us life. If we dont take the time to learn, then our life isnt complete. Or we at least arent living our life to the fullest. I disagree with the fact that our life has no meaning. We make our having meaning, and if we dont put meaning in our life, then it will be meaningless. You might view your life as meaningless, and to others your life could be filled with meaning. Your view of your life can be different than the way others view your life. Life can have many different meanings and can affect our lives in different ways. In the end we choose what our life will be, and how we will live our life. No one else can choose how you should live your life. In the end it is your choice and your choice alone. We can be influenced by others, but they cant make the final decisions.
Theme In The Gift Of The Magi English Literature Essay
Theme In The Gift Of The Magi English Literature Essay The story The Gift of the Magi which is written by O. Henry follows a young married couple who sacrifice their most prized possessions to buy a Christmas gift for one another. Though the story tells the tale of two people, a large portion of the story involves following Della on her quest to find a gift for Jim. The worry and unease that Della shows toward buying a gift is not caused by wanting to show love to her husband but fear of rejection. Della fears that by breaking tradition she will also break Jims heart, severing his love for her. Jim and Dellas main conflict is money. While Jim is introduced to the story early on and does not make an appearance until later it can be implied that his external conflict is money. Jim now faces the internal conflict of thinking of how he can support his family on his reduced income. As a man who has the task of supporting his family he experiences a guilt for not being able to provide his loving wife with the luxuries she so deserves. Della must face the fact that even though she has saved, her penny pinching was simply not enough for the amount she needed. Della then faces internal conflict as she tries to come up with ways to get more money. The money that presents an external conflict has Della retreat inside of her mind to face her internal conflict. Her first thought to get money by cutting her hair was a reference to not only tradition but of feminine roles. Della rapidly pulls down her hair(160) so when she visits Madame Sofronie to have it cut it is not questioned, becaus e women made sacrifices for their husbands and it was accepted. Della offering her most precious possession sees it as the only way she can say to her husband that she is truly grateful. Della runs and ransacks stores looking for the gift that she wanted for her husband. Her ransacking of the stores symbolizes and can be compared to Jim who, can be safely said, ransacked his brain on what the next option he was to take after the pay cut. She eventually is able to find a gift and hurries home. The next scene when Della arrives home and takes the moment to fix her hair up before her husband arrives home symbolizes her ability to imitate her husband and turn a bad situation into a good situation. This is most relevant to say that Della and her husband are equally matched in how they make decisions and in explaining in how both could give up their most precious possessions in thought of one another. Thinking of the other person is what causes the story to reveal situational irony in its ending. Della and Jim Dillingham have met the result of the actions and that is Della has cut and sold her hair to receive a gift of hair clips and Jim has sold his watch to receive a watch chain. The fact that Jim has sold the watch which has been in his family for years and chose to sacrifice the tradition of passing along the watch is ironic. Jim has broken one tradition to enter into another one, the tradition of making hard sacrifices for those you love. Della who is unaware of the sacrifice that was made on her behalf is also unaware that the tradition that she wanted to avoid breaking was broken by her husband. Della confirms that the tradition of exchanging gifts is broken when her husband says lets put our Christmas presents away and keep them awhile (162), but is reassured that tradition is still present when they spend Christmas enjoying each others company. O. Henrys Gift of the Magi was a story not only about the sacrifices made in love but the fear of breaking tradition. Della Dillingham sacrificed her hair to buy a gift of appreciation for the loving husband who provided for her. James Dillingham sacrificed tradition when he sold his watch to buy a present for his beloved wife only to return to tradition by making such a sacrifice fueled by the love he had for her. The story of the Dillinghams ended ironically when their gifts canceled each others out but the gift of love that was shown by embracing the tradition that comes with true Christmas spirit will last a lifetime.

Aspects Of City Life - Crime. :: essays research papers
Aspects of City Life - Crime. Ã Ã Ã Ã Ã Different angles can be taken with regards to crime in the city, and further to this, the main topic can be broken down into smaller areas. I have conducted two types of research; Primary - Interviews etc. Secondary - Named Sources. Ã Ã Ã Ã Ã The question of crime and how it affects a city is perhaps best put to those people that have either lived in a city all their lives (thus knowing what the crime is like in the area), or to those that have moved to a city from a town or village (therefore being able to make a comparison between the types of crime and their severity in the two habitats). Ã Ã Ã Ã Ã A city, apart from having a great deal more shops, civic and recreational amenities, and night life will also have many more people - people that need somewhere to live, meaning vast expanses of housing estates and other residential areas. In Sunderland's case all of the above are true, and, as with many other cities across the country it has a very large student population. There are two centres of higher education in Sunderland - the university, and the college, both with large subscriptions. Although both have been established for a while now, it was only fairly recently that the old Polytechnic achieved university status. This has not only increased the size of the university in terms of property but also the number of students attending it. This therefore means that the overall size of Sunderland has increased, including the numbers of shops, clubs, recreational activities and also houses. Ã Ã Ã Ã Ã A great deal of people in Sunderland believe that their local pubs and clubs have been 'taken over' by students and at first there was a great deal of apprehension and tension between locals and students, often resulting in violent conflict. This still exists but to a much smaller extent. However, something that can be connected with this is the mugging and burglary that happens to a small minority of students. Obviously crime occurs everywhere, no matter where you live, but students are seen as easy targets due to their vulnerability, as well as the fact that they have money and valuable possessions. The severity of some of the attacks has been such that victims have needed extensive hospital treatment due to the injuries they have sustained. Security measures at certain halls of residence have been questioned after several attacks occurred in usually safe surroundings. Ã Ã Ã Ã Ã The most startling aspect of violent crime in this area is that it still occurs, despite increased policing and advice to students regarding how to

Movie Essays - Narrative Holes in Films of Shakespeares Plays
Narrative Holes in Films of Shakespeare's Plays My subject in this essay in playtexts and in films of those playtexts. Drama offers the storyteller a simple choice about how to communicate each element of the story to the audience: show it, or have a character describe it. Often in drama narration is used because an event cannot be shown, but occasionally telling is used when showing is perfectly possible and Shakespeare uses this device self-consciously to draw attention to the medium rather than the message of his story. Shakespeare appears then interested in ekphrasis, which the Oxford Classical Dictionary calls "an extended and detailed literary description of any object, real or imaginary" (Hornblower & Spawforth 1996) but which is commonly used in the more precise sense summarized by Grant F. Scott as "a verbal representation of a visual representation" (Scott 1991, 301). In Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing there is an important hole in the narrative which has been placed there by the dramatist. The moment when Claudio and Don Pedro witness a sign of Hero's infidelity is only anticipated and recalled in the play, not shown. First Don John promises "Go but with me tonight, you shall see her chamber window entered" (III.ii.102-3) and in the next scene Borachio brags how he brought Margaret into the deception: "She leans me out at her mistress' chamber window, bids me a thousand times good night" (III.iii.140-2). Between III.ii and III.iii the deception takes place without being shown to the audience. It certainly would have been possible for Shakespeare's stage to represent Borachio entering or leaving the bedchamber, so we should consider why Shakespeare chose instead to use dialogue referring to t... ...Laterna/Athena/RSC. Hampton Machine Tool Company Essay
About The Company Hampton Machine Tool was established in 1915 and has been manufacturing machine tools since its foundation. Hampton companyââ¬â¢s customer base is made up primarily of aircraft manufacturers and automobile manufactures in the St. Louis area. It experienced record production and profitability during the years. Sales and profitability declined in the mid-1970s with the withdrawal from Vietnam War and the oil embargo. However, the company had stabilized the massive of sales by the late 1970s. The reasons of Hamptonââ¬â¢s recovery were the increasing number of military aircraft sales in both export and domestic markets, the automobile industry rising and an improvement in the economy. Summary of The Problem Hampton Machine Tool Company have problems with the repayment of its $1million loan due date of September 1979. The loan was used for the stock repurchase. Thanks to the president of Hampton Company- , Mr.Cowinââ¬â¢s good reputation and the credibility in the business community and submission of projected sales and forecasted financial statements St.Louis National Bank gave the loan to the company. There were several factors caused the failure of forecast sales including firstly, the detention of delivery by the major component supplier on time, secondly, the purchase of $420,000 worth of components over normal level of inventory, thirdly, problems of machines occured during the production period. On the other hand, the company plans to pay a dividend of $150,000 in 1979. Therefore, Hampton needs an additional loan of $350,000 till October to be paid on December 1979 along with the initial loan Analysis The bank should make decision by the end of the October due to the maturity date of the initial loan. To assess the borrowerââ¬â¢s ability for the repayment Pro-forma Financial Statements, Profitability ratios, Liquidity and leverage ratios, and projected cash budget should be assessed. Projected Cash Budgets and Proforma Financial Statements yield negative results about the principal payment of the loan for December 1979. Theà forecasts of this analysis are based on projected sales, one month extension of the loan and dividend payment, and starting to repay the loan early. Projected Sales If sales projections and accounts receivables are not met, this situation will be worse than the present one financially. But as we can see in the projected cash budget, ending cash balance in December is negative so that Hampton will be unable to repay the loan on that time. On the other hand repayment in January will be possible with more accurate planning. Liquidity Ratios The reason of the paradox of increasing current ratio and net working capital but decreasing quick ratio is the increasing level of inventories Activity Ratiosà The average age of inventory improved as a result of an increase in inventories. The company has a stock of row materials, and there are additional inventories waiting for the production process. The receviables management seemed to improve but collection in July and August needs a concern and a further study should be undertaken. Profitability Ratios Although there is unstable trend, Hampton Companyââ¬â¢s profit ratios seems as its best visible to the companyââ¬â¢s increase on its Net Profit Margin both in history and projection. Dividend Payment The company repurchased a substantial fraction of its outstanding common stock. Despite the good purposes about increasing the stock value, they had to make a loan of $1 million for he purchase. Because of the unreasonable conditions to pay dividends in December, the company will have a negative cash flow. Solution We inferred from the financial statements that the company can not afford to repay the loan in December, otherwise they will have negative cash flow. However, all the financial statements have consistency among them showingà this declining trend. They should offer a one month extention on the loan to indicate a reasonable solution and then should start repaying it early. The repayment process should be started Payment of $200,000 in September Payment of $100,000 in October No payment in November Payment of $350,000 in December These payments reduce the interest and final loan payment. Another solution is about the extention of one month till January with the final repayment of $700,000 once December accounts receivables are collected. Hampton will not able to make a dividend payment in December so holding the dividend payment till January will enable the cash flow positive and allows for December sales to be realized, therefore usable to maket he January final payment. Conclusion Hampton Machine Tool Company is not in a secure financial condition. There are many improvements needed to survive. For instance, in working capitalââ¬â¢s quantity and quality, in profitability, in liquidity and for financial stability they should focus on new improvements. Again, the dividend payment should be delayed to January. Recommendation Since the companyââ¬â¢s problems are mostly temporaray and the company past the analysis of credit, the Bank may grand both Hamptonââ¬â¢s loan refinancing of the $1million loan to be paid on December 1979, end the additional $ 350,000 that Hampton wants to borrow (payable on January 31, 1980). However, its very much advisable for St. Louis National Bank to undertake further studies and collect more data such as industry ratios and data, prevailing interest rates, financial statements from prior years etc. to permit a better and more informed decision.
